Man Utd beat West Ham to reach FA Cup quarter-finals as Spurs knocked out

Alejandro Ganaccio and Fred beat West Ham 3-1 in Wednesday's FA Cup quarter-final but Tottenham were stunned by Sheffield United up.

Elsewhere in the fifth round of the night, fourth-tier side Grimsby beat Premier League contenders Southampton 2-1 and Burnley beat 10-man Fleetwood 1-0.

They were rewarded, with Argentine teenager Ganacho giving United the lead with a 90th-minute right-footed strike before Fred scored in stoppage time.

"The best teams never stop believing," Manchester United captain Harry Maguire told ITV, "I'm not saying we are by far one of the best teams.

"We've got a lot of work to do but we're getting there, we're moving forward ... it feels like Stretford has sucked in the goal at the last minute."

Tottenham were knocked out of the FA Cup by title rivals for the second consecutive year after Eliman N'Diaye sacked newly promoted Sheffield United in a 1-0 win at Bramall Lane.
